Jarrett Creek, McDowell County, NC

After getting kicked out of Woods Mountain by loggers, I decided to try out Jarrett Creek. I used to run and bike through the area but remembered it as a very hot and dry place. It didn't seem like a good tree spot but I gave it a shot. Jarrett Creek is positioned between The Royal Gorge and Curtis Creek/Mackey Mountain area, both of which have significant trees. Jarrett is not in their class as of yet. I didn't make it to the two most promising looking coves so there may be more to this place but I still got some respectable numbers.
