The Southeast-small and medium sites

The Southeastern States consist of coastal plains, piedmont or hill regions, mountians or plateaus. I've grouped the top sites in three types of terrain, coastal plains (all 4 types combined - coastal, inner, outer, and sandhills). Piedmont and hill regions will be combined. Mountain and plateau will also be combined. These are small sites and medium sites, except for Congaree, but we have so few coastal plain sites so it is included. The larger sites will be added soon.

Brian,

Thanks for doing this. Like Erik wrote, some numbers are outdated, but the information is valuable nonetheless. You’ve done a good job,

Southeast - small and medium sites

I don't have Rucker Indices for many GSMNP sites. They would thoroughly dominate this list. Many sites in the Smokies do not have enough species to be listed here. This is a blend of small sites and microsites. A few have been used twice and will be noted in parentheses.

The Mountains and Plateaus

Brian-

That's quite a listing you have compiled. Great work.
I'm sure that took some time.

I haven't been on the BBS site much lately.
I will start posting more on here.

Welcome back, Larry!

You've had quite a hand in these listings. It took some time to compile them but it has been a lot of fun, and has opened my eyes to some regions where I was quite ignorant about the forests. I've spent years focusing on just several states and now I see what else is out there in the East, including Canada.
