NTS-    Me and my Grandson went to Pascagoula Ms. on Sunday to measure a large Live Oak that a friend of mine saw a few weeks ago.  The tree grows on the O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home property. I would estimate its age at 200-250 years. It is a great tree that has some minor damage from what looks like a old lightning strike. The is the first tree he has helped me measure. The results were CBH-22' 7', Height-75.2' and Crown Spread- 115.5' x 103'. The O'Bryant-O'Keefe Oak becomes number 128 of the Live Oak Listing now with this addition at 268 trees.   Larry

Larry,

Good to know that you are giving your grandson a proper introduction to tree measuring. He's now got some pretty big shoes to fill.

Bob-  Thanks for the compliment. He is a lot like me very interested in nature. The next time I get him we are going walking in De Soto National Forest. He just made 8 years old this month.  Larry

That's an unusual looking sprig at the top. 75' on an open grown live oak is outstanding!
