Water Tupelo( Nyssa aquatica)

Post by Larry Tucei » Sat Jan 19, 2013 6:57 pm

NTS, I finished the Magnolia measurement and noticed a few gum trees down the creek a couple a hundred yards so off I went. I measured a couple of the largest trees in a small grove of Nyssa aquatica. These are really small compared to others I've seen in my journeys but I have never measured one from Ms. I'm planning a future trip to the Pascagoula River Basin and should get some really large ones there. The trees I measured both had heights to 96' and CBH of 7'4", 6'10". Larry
