Glacial features of US east of the rockies

I stumbled on this and found it interesting:

(You can zoom and pan like google earth or go to 'Export' in the top right hand corner and d/l a local copy)

In a similar vein I found this old map of Glacier Bay from ~1900:

Compared to today:

Just fussing around on google earth, looking at the nunataks directly below 'Muir' it looks like there is now open water where ice used to be 2,000'+ high only a 100 years ago.
