Trees or forests near St. Petersburg?

Post by mdavie » Sat Jan 18, 2014 8:07 pm

I'm going to be staying a few days in St. Pete's next weekend, and I should have at least a little bit of time to look around. Does anyone know of any trees to see species to look for, or parks to visit around there? I've got no idea what's there...

Mike,

Did you check the FL Champion tree website? You can search by county and I use it to get ideas for scouting trips. There are so many under-measured or never measured species you could get a start on some data...

funny, but I thought he was talking about St. Petersburg, Russia- and trying to imagine trees there.... I was going to ask why he's going to Russia!
