Ed,  I'm glad we still have many places like DR. Wilson describes remaining. It's to bad our National Forests where most of these places exist are under constant threat of deforestation.  I have walked through many places in Ms. just like his descriptions.  Most of our southern  Forests have been cut 3 times in the last 150 years. To bad!  Larry
