#1)  Photos wanted: Hemlock Bark Harvesting

Postby RayA » Tue Dec 19, 2017 1:48 pm

I'm need old images of workers peeling and/or hauling hemlock bark (which was used for tanning leather) in the 1800's-1900's. A lot of hemlocks were peeled of bark while left standing, or after felling. The images will be used in a documentary film that Bob L and I are working on.

Do any of you have old books, magazines, post cards, photos, etc, that have images related to this?  If you do, would you be willing to take a photo of the image (even a smartphone image will do) for me?
