Ents,

On June 16th, we'll hold the 8th tree measuring workshop at Patrick Henry's historic Red Hill Plantation in Brookneal, VA. VA Tech is the administrative organizer. The National Park Service is giving us the space - free. As you might expect, I will be the presenter. The new national champion tree coordinators Eliza Kretzmann and Justin Hynicka will attend.

On Sept 21st, we'll hold #9 in Golden, CO. It will be part of the Colorado State Forest Service's annual meeting. Great opportuinity to help Neal Bamsberger and the state champion tree program.

Don Bertolette and I are still thinking about a possible workshop in California, and or Texas.

Bob, it would be cool if somebody could video tape these events - then post the video links to the NTS web site.

Bob,

I very much enjoyed the day.  The amount of interest and strong opinions on measuring philosophies and techniques was encouraging, plus meeting everyone was great, as well.
