Bob, NTS-

I'd be happy to be involved in measuring trees in northeast/northcentral Ohio, basically from PA to Sandusky south to Canton/Mansfield.

Hi Bob,

How exciting! As a tree climber and proud owner of a Nikon 440 and clinometer, I am happy to help however I can in the piedmont of NC.

Sorry I missed this for a few days, I'm certainly in, though WNC is heavily represented, perhaps I can hit some in Tennessee at times, and if I'm traveling I'm happy to detour...

Patrick, Michael,

Thanks very much. Don and I will keep everyone informed on our progress toward the cadre concept. So far, American Forests accepts the concept. It is just working out the details.

Hey Bob,

I'm very pleased to see some things coming together to greatly improve the accuracy of the AFA's National Register of Big Trees. I am already covering Iowa and I could probably visit the states surrounding Iowa as well. Thanks for including me on the list.

Bob,

I'd be happy to measure and check out some great trees. Just not sure how often my schedule is likely to let me help out.

Jess,

No problem. At this point we want to begin recruiting volunteers who can be called upon from time to time. Few of us are going to be available to on short notice. But for American Forests, it is the start of builing a cadre of truly qualified measurers.
