Whenever a post gets edited, is there supposed to be a note somewhere on the revised post saying it has been edited?

Seems like it should be. This would possibly avoid some confusion.

My apology if this has already been discussed somewhere and I'm just not seeing it.

Gary,

No there is not a notice that posts have been edited.  There is a MOD that I can add that will mark edited posts as new but I have opted not to install it.  In general most of the edits are people fixing a simple typo and I thought it would be annoying to have it marked as a "new" post for such a minor change.  I also have 'edited" several posts by other people changing their title to indicate location or other information so that they could be better cataloged of located in the forum at some future date.  I have not found a MOD that would just indicate an edit.
