Ricketts Glen SP LiDAR - tallest is 150 feet

I finished up the LiDAR for Ricketts Glen SP and found trees up to 150'. See attached height banding. If you are unable to use the roads and other features to find these crowns I can get GPS on request.

Ricketts Glen SP has tall trees !

I am interested in using LIDAR to find heights of local trees, but how do I do this? Can you please instruct me on the process?

It is a very complex process. Michael Taylor does it for us. He should receive some remuneration, though. He's done a mountain of free work for us, but we shouldn't expect that with no limits. That said, you can ask Michael to help.

Thanks for letting me know! I will try to get in contact with him shortly. I know a few old-growth forests (or very old second-growth) in South-East PA (most in Chester County), that I am interested in getting checked for their height. I have measured a few American Beech in one old-growth tract to be 40 meters, and I hope to find out if they are indeed around 40 meters by LiDAR.
