Douglas Falls

Post by jamesrobertsmith » Tue Jun 22, 2010 9:52 pm

Has anyone been to Douglas Falls lately? The last time I was there, the hemlocks were doing okay, but someone told me that the old trees there are now all dead. Is this right? I was thinking of hiking there this weekend, but not if the hemlocks are all dead.

JS,

It has been just a little under two years since I have visited the Coleman Boundary area, At that time the hemlocks were well in decline but some moderately healthy trees still were around. I suspect that they are pretty bad now with many dead or dying. A more updated post on the area is needed.
