Robin Hill Nature Preserve, Orleans County

NTS,
I recently made two trips to the Robin Hill Nature Preserve, a beautiful privately owned arboretum in Orleans County, not far from the south shore of Lake Ontario and west of Rochester, NY. Established in the 1940s and ‘50s, Robin Hill is already home to several NY State champion trees.
Though my visits focused on just a handful of rare exotics, Robin Hill has a nicer collection of plants than most public arboreta I’ve been to, and the layout and landscapes are first class. Here’s a link to their website: http://www.robinhillpreserve.org/.
Some photos from my visit: Measured trees:
Dawn Redwood Metasequoia glyptostroboides
102.1’ x 8.57’
Giant Sequoia Sequoiadendron giganteum (NYS Champion)
101.9’ x 10.61’
Baldcypress Taxodium distichum
78.3’ x 8.68’
Japanese Red Pine Pinus densiflora
50.5’
Lacebark Pine Pinus bungeana
43.8’ x 2.62’
Cucumber Magnolia Magnolia acuminata
94.3’
Bigleaf Magnolia Magnolia macrophylla
53.3’
Saucer Magnolia Magnolia x soulangeana
34.4’
Black Maple Acer nigrum
65.1’ x 5.90’
Japanese Stewartia Stewartia pseudocamellia
48.2’ x 2.47’ at 3’
Epaulette Tree Pterostyrax hispida
31.4’
