NTS,

As I've probably reached the end of the season for tree surveying on Howland's Island, I thought I'd share some of the more interesting finds I've made recently. Also included are a handful of re-measurements. Here they are:

Silver Maple Acer saccharinum

86.2' x 12.80' (CBH taken at 7'; most easily accessible of multiple trunks)
83.0' x 15.13' (trunks diverge at ~6.5')

Sugar Maple Acer saccharum
