US Champ White Oak--an arborist's view

this is one ugly tree. It's been re-beatified, and maybe it can be beautified.

Re: US Champ White Oak--an arborist's view

Larry, it was last measured by a Va Tech student, 90' tall and 120' spread, per the AF listing. Suspiciously round numbers perhaps, to the dendromorphometrically minded. When I mentioned confirming stats with a tape drop etc., I heard some consternation, and concern that I was just out to reveal errors. So I'm focusing on my own business of treatments right now, but will confirm measurements in the course of care, and *quietly* communicate what I measure with the person who did it last, and resolve any discrepancies off the record.
