Probably acorns were not available, but I use the long stalks(2") of the acorns for the SWO as a definitive characteristic. ENTS: I remeasured a big Bur Oak (Q. macrocarpa) that has resided in the WV big tree database for the since 1982. It was last measured in 1998. Here are the present measurements: CBH 275.2" Ht. 103.7" CS 121' which totals 409.1 AF big tree points. The 1982 CBH was 252" The tree appears healthy but d...
