Tar Hollow State is a fairly heavily logged State forest in the South Central part of the state. Lots of selective cutting and a smattering of clear cuts. Thomas Pakenham includes this tree in his book 'Remarkable Trees of the World', If I remember correctly he said only a few of the original trunks that formed the original 18th century ring survive. I believe he said they used to pen livestock up inside of it, causing much of the damage. http://www.a...

Secrest Arboretum

[album][/album]Secrest Arboretum is a pretty arboretum outside of Wooster Ohio in the north central region of the state. Terrain is gently rolling.
