Re: Western States Rucker Comparisons

Mark,

I found nothing for sitka spruce in California.

Edit: Scratch that. I found a number of Van Pelt’s measurements and a bunch of other legit measurements as well. I’ll check out Conifers.org as well. Thanks for the tip. There will be many new numbers for the West Coast.

Re: Western States Rucker Comparisons

Mark,

Thanks. It looks like I missed a couple of significant trees. I found a 298' coast and a 212' giant listed. I didn't see the 310' coast.

Re: Another VERY tall sugar pine to report

Michael, Duncan, The tallest sugar I've seen listed is 273.8' in the Sierra Nevadas and #2 at 269', in Yosemite. I assume reports of a 273.7' and a 273.8' are of the same Sierra Nevada tree. I assume this VERY rall sugar is #3 on the list. Also, in what National Forest or Park is this sugar living? ...

Re: Western States Rucker Comparisons

Mark, I'm just going by published numbers. I'm sure there are plenty more numbers out there. If you have any or know of any, by all means let me know. The more info on a location, the better, but I know exact locations on exceptional redwoods are secret. As far as I can tell, the RMDFs in Idaho are ...
