As we know, state forests are not usually protected from logging unless this area has some special status. Would you ...

We'd love to add this forest to the Old-Growth Forest Network if it is protected from commercial logging. Do you happen to know the protection status of this grove? Great work finding it and documenting ages. Joan

That date works for me and I am looking forward to it! By then I hope to have lots to share about the building of the Old-Growth Forest Network. John Davis from Wildlands Network said he'd like to attend for the dedication of the Mary Byrd Davis tree that week.

Yes, this is a case of self-promotion, but I think ENTS folks will really love "Among the Ancients: Adventures in the Eastern Old-Growth Forests." It's available at Amazon and also on Kindle, etc. I think it would fit best in the section "travel/adventure." Thanks!
