Silver Lake Trail, Pickney State Recreation Area

Even with the struggles of the auto industry, much of southeastern Michigan has grown rapidly over the last few decades, especially the countryside outside of the major urban areas. Regarding your inquiry about the adelgid, so far this invasive has not arrived in the area yet, although I suspect wh...

Re: Bulletin of the ENTS, Volume 10, Issue 1, for 2015

Joe--Sorry for the slow response; I've not been good about keeping up with the NTS BBS in recent months. I am still the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Forestry, and we have had a few occasions to put in a plug for the NTS and the sine method during my tenure (including a short article I wrote sev...

Re: Publishing The Bulletin of ENTS:Change of Guard

Just a quick note of encouragement for those that may be contemplating taking on the mantle of the editor of the Bulletin...Do not be deterred because of fears of having to buy and learn expensive desktop publishing software--I produced every issue of the Bulletin using current versions of Microsoft...

Re: Vicksburg National Military Park, MS

Bob...I have reported almost nothing in terms of tuliptree in Arkansas, as it is not particularly common in most of the state. I would expect to find the best examples along a ridge in the northeastern part of the state (Crowley's Ridge).

Re: Publishing The Bulletin of ENTS:Change of Guard

It has been my privilege to serve in this capacity, and I look forward to continuing to help into the future with the Bulletin. I am very willing to help with the transition in any way I can--now all we need is someone to step up to the plate!
